Note

Things I need to remember to do before I die:

Spend the night in an aquarium.

Spend the night in an immensely haunted house with a buddy.

Hey, y’all.

I didn’t use any of the oil last night, but I’ve started another tumblr where I will be posting my craziest dreams. I’ve put the url as the source. No posts yet.

If you decide to read any you need to remember these aren’t necessarily things I think about in waking life, so don’t judge me. Kthanks.

My wonderful Dream teacher,

she gave me oil with mugwort in it. I’m going to try it tonight and let you all know how that goes. I’m pretty excited.

I’m looking through my old files and this is what I found. I miss kitten days with Katherine.

This as well.

This as well.

I’m sorry I’m becoming that girl that posts a billion drunk photos all the time, but is this not the greatest picture ever?

Hey hey.

Hey hey.

Some updates.

I’ve been away for awhile and I apologize. I had to send my laptop in for repairs and now it appears I won’t have it back until summer break, but my dad is letting me borrow his old Sony so I’m hoping I can get it to connect to the internet. But for now I’m using my phone.

In other news. My grandmother passed away a little over a week ago after a six month battle with pancreatic cancer. We’re on our way to her wake right now and I’m wearing the nicest dress I have ever worn. I actually look like an adult.

I love you all, and hopefully I can get back to you soon.

Books read in 2012 - The Hunger Games
Okay, I had completely written these off a little while ago but I gave in because my parents are taking me to see the movie tomorrow. Well worth it, I’ve just spent the last four hours reading it and not even because I wanted to finish by tomorrow. But most of you probably already know how good it is.

I spent the whole quarter thinking I was going to get a D in bio,

but I got a muthafucken B-. Hell yes.

I’m just going to make a billion origami critters.

Because it’s spring break and I can.

Fuck hands. —Alex
There is a class about dreaming next quarter.

I am so excited, here’s the description:

Why do we dream? Why are our dreams so bizarre and yet so familiar?
What do dreams mean? Do they mean anything at all? How can we enhance
our dreams? How can we use our dreams to enhance our lives?  These are
some of the fundamental questions that we will explore together in
this Group Independent Student, using the lenses of Psychology,
Science, Spirituality, Surrealism & our own lenses…

In the beginning, we will learn and experiment with techniques to
improve, remember & record dreams.  If you do the work, this class is
guaranteed to get you remembering and understanding your dreams
at a much deeper level.  It will also help you to lucid dream!

We will read Freud, the father of Psychoanalysis, and discuss
repression, childhood and sexuality.  Then we will read a prominent
anti-psychoanalytic neuroscientist, and discuss brains, evolution,
randomness and reality in relation to dreams.  Then we will read a
Tibetan Buddhist dream yogi and discuss karma, consciousness, energy
and enlightenment.  We will also read about Surrealism and art, and
learn how we can use our imaginations to better understand ourselves
and each other.

Clearly there are infinite explanations.  We will delve into the
mysticism, magic and mystery of other dream theories with your

personal dream research.
There will be a paper and a presentation,
in which students chose their own dream theories to research, discover,
analyze and play with.  This is a way that you can bring your own studies
and interests into this Independent Study.

Over the course of this term, we will use our burgeoning understanding
of dream theories to guide our own personal dream work. This includes
faithfully documenting our dreams in a dream journal, setting

intentions for dreaming, dream experimentation, creating

dream-inspired artwork, and sharing dreams every week with the group.
